How Does Remote Managed Support Work?

Now you can take a proactive approach to IT infrastructure support and security...we help our clients improve system availability and control maintenance costs using remote diagnostic tools that will check your computers for failing components, unwanted software and malicious scripts that can gain access your computer if you have high-speed internet access.

Initial Diagnosis and Repair Services

Many of our clients come to us because of a problem they are already having. We start our services with a full Remote Diagnostic Analysis. ProActivIT RMS checks your hard drive and operating systems for the presence of unwanted performance degrading scripts that rob your computer of performance. One of our remote support technicians will work with you to resolve the specific malfunction that is interfering with end-user productivity. If we can't make your system usable, ProActivIT offers a money-back guaranty for your remote diagnostic session if our technician cannot access your required application and get you going. If an Onsite Support call is required to return your computer to usable condition, our service technician will coordinate a ProActivIT Affiliate Onsite Service Technician visit at the earliest, most convenient time.

Our diagnostic services continue for 60 days after your Initial Diagnosis.  During this time, you may access our monitoring software and have our systems remove spyware, viruses and other malicious scripts that have been introduced into your computer since ProActivIT last wiped it clean.

Ongoing Remote Support

ProActivIT Remote Managed Services is an innovative approach to perpetual diagnostic support for your systems.  There are three diagnostic plans; all are based on the criticality of the IT mission planned for the computer.


Our Silver Level Support allows our clients to access ProActivIT diagnostic software anytime they are online with  a high-speed internet connection. Once connected, the software removes unwanted malicious scripts and notifies you of malware that has been added to your system since the last diagnostic check. When appropriate, we can defragment your disk to free storage space and improve operating performance. Silver Level clients automatically qualify for a 10% discount on Onsite  Support services.


The Gold Level Support combines all the features of Silver Level Support with ProActivIT Vault so you can protect your application data. Should your hard drive ever fail and make your application data irretrievable, our technicians can download the last saved version of your application data to any computer with internet access. Gold Level clients automatically qualify for a 15% discount on Onsite Support services.


The ultimate in ongoing support; Platinum Level Support records an image of the programs and data on your system drives so that the drive can be replicated in the event of a catastrophic failure. Should you experience a failure, ProActivIT can overnight a replacement hard drive to a specified address and provide remote assistance on the installation of your replacement drive. We even include the tools you will need.  When you're done with the replacement, place the tools and the damaged drive in the box the replacement drive arrived in, affix the pre-paid return shipping label and contact the shipping company for pick-up. Platinum Level clients automatically qualify for a 20% discount on Onsite Support services.

  4. If this is your first visit to ProActivIT Remote Managed Services, a member of our customer service staff will assist you through the initial set-up.  To begin your dialog, click the button below and follow the instructions.

  5. If available, place a ProActivIT RMS Support Disk into your disk drive and close the drive. The disk should boot automatically. If it doesn't, click Start, My Computer, access the proper drive and double click RMS Windows Setup.exe or RMS Mac Setup.exe as appropriate.
  6. Describe your issues with our Technician. Based on your needs, our technical expert will determine an action plan and provide you with a fee schedule. To authorize your service, simply enter your credit card information in our shopping cart system and click "Buy Now".
  7. Relax and let our technician and diagnostic software maintain your machine.  Our remote services are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
  8. Once you are a monthly maintenance customer, you may return to the Diagnostic Center at anytime. By logging on, you will automatically begin a diagnostic session that will check your computer for any new malware, update your anti-virus and anti-malware protection, and keep your computer running at peak efficiency.
